2010 BMW X1
BMW is set to release a new baby later in 2009 called the 2010 BMW X1. This car is a spinoff of BMW’s 1-Series, featuring 6-cylinder power, standard all-wheel drive and the so-called ‘ultimate driving machine’ promise. It looks promising enough to be one of the future best-sellers.
BMW has confirmed that the new X1 will priced below the X3 aside from the fact that the former is much smaller than the latter.

Here are some expected features of the BMW X1:
- Styling will be patterned from the X3/X5 mold
- Big wheels for a relatively high stance
- Brand visuals from the “twin kidney” grille to geometric taillights
- Standard all-wheel xDrive
- 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that powers the 128i coupe
- Twin-turbo version of that engine for X1
- Transmissions could be 6-speed manual and optional 6-speed automatic
- Antilock brakes
- Graction/antiskid system
- Hill-descent control
- Front side airbags
- Curtain side airbags
