This five-passenger compact SUV is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Trim levels include LX, EX, and top-line EX-L with leather upholstery. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. A power driver seat and dual-zone automatic climate control are standard on EX-L. A navigation system is also available on EX-L. Versions so equipped are priced as separate models. Among utility vehicles, Compact SUVs are typically the least costly and offer the best fuel economy. Most utilize a car-type chassis and are not designed for heavy-duty, off-road use. Nearly all are five-passenger vehicles; some offer seating for seven.

The CR-V’s jack-of-all-trades nature has kept it competitive, even as newer models have debuted. As long as you don’t mind the leisurely acceleration, you can’t go wrong with the 2009 Honda CR-V.
